Stryker Trauma are looking for a talented, highly motivated sales professional to drive a strategy to further extend Stryker's market leading position in external fixation and accelerate growth in this segment across Southeast Region. In close partnership with the sales and marketing team across UK & Ireland, who share a strong belief in helping our customers to improve patient care and outcomes through the use of our products and services.

As the local market and speciality expert, you will be responsible for driving market share gains - understanding trends, the competitive landscape, product performance and customer/user needs - and connecting these inputs with existing or future products and solutions. You will be expected to work in close alignment with the UK and European marketing teams to ensure aligned strategies and execution, providing feedback on the success of pan-European strategies, and effectiveness.

You must have a proven track record of delivering exceptional results over an extended period, both personally and through others. You should have impeccable ethics and use integrity management to ensure the delivery of Stryker's vision of being the most admired company. The Key Account manager will report into the Regional Sales Manager, Southeast Trauma UK & Ireland, but work closely with UK External fixation team.

This role will require nationwide travel and to stay away from home overnight on a regular basis for team meetings, customer visits, conferences and educational events

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with regional trauma reps to develop a long-term vision and strategy for ring fixation which differentiates from competitors and shows how products will achieve maximum potential, while supporting sustainable growth of core trauma brands.

  • Exceed & deliver against the quarterly and yearly sales targets whilst managing instrument utilization and consignment investment

  • Ensure outstanding service delivery to protect and renew existing commitments and evaluate market opportunities to develop new business pipeline

  • Partner with sales management team to identify KOLs, potential reference centres and targets for conversion, assisting with execution of plans

  • Enable, educate, influence, and align 'Super User' group to local marketing strategy, driving forward both current and future business opportunities and communicate updates on key performance indicators

  • Motivate the wider salesforce, supporting and driving them strategically and tactically to accelerate growth and market share gains

  • Assist with must-win product evaluations, tenders, or customer presentations

  • Become Stryker product advocate and build a strong partnership with sales force, providing in theatre support when required.

  • Identify marketing events and medical education activities which align with strategy and assist marketing team in planning and execution

  • Gather market intelligence through field visits with salesforce, identifying key trends and providing feedback to UK and European marketing and leadership teams

  • Connect key customers with internal stakeholders to amplify the voice of our customers and ensure their needs are taken into consideration through R&D activity

  • Regular and accurate forecasting vs budget

What you need?

  • Training in a medical, scientific, technical career or degree in business/marketing or similar

  • Verifiable successful sales and/or marketing experience

  • Track record in delivering results through influence

  • Product/market knowledge in ring fixation would be desirable

  • Working understanding of NHS procurement pathways

  • Anatomical proficiency

  • Knowledge of a CRM system

  • Computer skills, MS Office

  • Presentation skills with modern presentation media
