Your Role and Responsibilities

We are looking for an energized self starter to join our Financial Transaction Manager OpenShift Deployment team. You will be working as a Go Operator Developer within a global team, reporting to Local and International Development Management. You will be primarily responsible for the implementation of GO Language based Operator development work for new/existing solutions. This will require creating High Level Design documents and working with key stakeholders for review and approval. After design approval, you will be working closely with members of the squad to successfully drive the implementatoin. As a developer of new feartures, you will be responsible for sizing the work scope and working with others to help build a project delivery plan that you can commit to that is aligned with organizational priorities. You will also be required to work on product documentation, build automation and work with our QA teams on the resolution of product defects.

Key Responsibilities:

• Review Requirement documentation and technical specifications

• Complete sizings and assist with building feature delivery plans

• Take ownership of assigned Operator features, including the design, code & unit test

• Defect resolution, working with QA team on resolution of issues

• Provide input into planning and status tracking

• Work on other delivery aspects of our OpenShift based solutions, such as updates to IBM Cases and IBM Catalogs, and creating deployment pipelines

• As time evolves, potentially act as Scrum-Lead for various product deliverables

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

• Self-Starter who is a very quick learner of new technology, be able to multi-task, and have strong analytical skills

• OpenShift and/or Kubernetes

• Docker and/Podman

• GO Operator development experience or knowledge

• Java, J2EE developmemt experience or knowledge

• Ability to demonstrate a systematic approach to problem solving / debugging

• Familiar with agile development methodologies

• Excellent oral and written communication, teamwork, and debugging skills.

• Works well in a global team environment but is also able to work independently

• Fluency in English.

Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise

• IBM Financial Transaction Manager (FTM) experience

• Containerization of applications

• IBM MQ / JMS understanding and experience desirable.

• Database SQL, DB2 or Oracle, understanding and experience desirable.

• Familiar with Git source control system

• Experience or knowledge of Java/Eclipse development environments
