Position Summary...

What you'll do...

The Chief of Staff, Infrastructure Services will be a senior-level partner to the leadership team in driving the strategy and mission of the organization and defining and overseeing the execution of key operational processes. This role reports to the VP of Infrastructure Services and will act as a strategic advisor to his/her leadership team, will enable cross-functional collaboration to achieve desired outcomes, and will represent the leader in many situations.

The Infrastructure Services team is a globally distributed group who are on a mission to provide a world-class network, data center, and compute infrastructure to the Walmart enterprise. The infrastructure provided by this team underpin all eCommerce and store technology enterprise wide.

The position requires working closely with technology senior leadership to drive cross-functional alignment and collaboration, enabled by clear operating rhythms and cadence. The role requires a broad set of skills, including a customer-centric mindset, strategic vision and planning, program management, change management, communication skills, and creative thinking. The ideal candidate is a data-driven self-starter and problem solver, who thrives in and enjoys a fast-paced, cross-functional, and impact-oriented environment. The role demands resourcefulness and resilience in the face of change and obstacles and requires the ability to adapt to competing demands with shifting priorities while maintaining confidentiality and trust.

You'll make an impact by:

  • Being a hands-on driver of results, who is passionate about delivery.

  • Strategically advising and influencing the leader and his/her team on critical business initiatives, operational excellence, and long-term organizational goals.

  • Serving as proxy for the leader and be a voice for the leader within the team and across Walmart and serve as a critical partner on initiatives around operational and engineering excellence, people development, and culture.

  • Developing and implementing a comprehensive operating structure and rhythm for the team, including Leadership Team meetings, Business and Technology reviews, and strategic planning sessions

  • Building and nurturing collaborative relationships with key stakeholders, including executive leadership, to align priorities and gain buy-in for key initiatives and strategies.

  • Playing a key role in crafting and delivering executive-level communications and updates, ensuring the message is aligned with the organization's vision and goals.

  • Providing insight and advice to the leadership team around operational excellence, resource and fiscal planning, participate in overall group strategy decisions and assist in implementing policies and procedures.

  • Orchestrating team design conversations and facilitating successful implementation of organizational plans.

  • Identify risks/ issues that impede team success and collaborate on ways to mitigate without impacting business priorities.

  • Partnering with cross-functional partners, particularly Finance, Portfolio, Strategy & Business Operations, and HR on cross-reaching initiatives and operations.

  • Providing budgeting inputs and oversight to Annual Operating Plan (AOP) and Long-Range Plan (LRP) financial processes

  • Preparing independently clear, concise, logically structured, and meaningful artifacts and communications

  • Taking a leadership role in driving and championing change within the organization, ensuring that change initiatives are successfully implemented and aligned with business objectives.

  • Infrastructure background - networks, data centers, private cloud and/or deep knowledge of technology infrastructure

Hoboken, New Jersey US-10279:The annual salary range for this position is $108,000.00-$216,000.00

Bentonville, Arkansas US-10735:The annual salary range for this position is $90,000.00-$180,000.00

Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses.
