Job Description
We are currently looking for a Senior QC Support Analyst at our Manufacturing site in Carrigtwohill , Co Cork
Role & Responsibilities:
Delivery of onboarding program for new laboratory personnel in a timely fashion
Work with QC management/ leadership group to develop an annual training plan based on Laboratory training needs and ensure timely implementation of this plan
Trainer for existing analysts on new techniques in line with annual training plan
Champion Lab training activities to ensure subsequent QC activities are executed in line with in-house procedures and in compliance with requirements of cGMP and with safety requirements and good laboratory practice.
Ensure Instructor led training programs within the laboratory include competency-based assessments tools
Utilize e-learning and blending different learning approaches.
Support QC Dept and Site Training Specialist to maintain accurate and current training records, optimise use of the site Learning Management System (LMS) to standardize training modules and user groups on the LMS
Monitoring of QC training due dates
Provide monthly training matrixes, critical metrics and Learning Management system reports as required
Measure and continually improve efficiency of training in the journey to become outstanding
Keep informed of methodologies within the industry with regards to Laboratory training and work to implement on site. Liaise with other AbbVie facilities to ensure consistent training approaches on similar activities across different sites.
Support compliance and GMP projects in the laboratory.
Participate in training and development activities to ensure that new technologies are applied, and that skill level is developed.
Identify potential safety hazards and liaise with Lab Manager and EHS Officer to resolve.
Additional responsibilities can include assisting in testing and analysis/review of analytical data
Additional responsibilities can include supporting laboratory investigations to determine root cause and implementing corrective actions and preventative actions as appropriate
Keep up to date on regulatory development and standards by accessing in house library, accessing current Pharmacopoeias etc.
Qualifications
Degree in an analytical science is preferred
Minimum 2 years experience in a laboratory environment. Direct experience of HPLC analysis would be an advantage
Training experience an advantage
Analytical approach to tasks
Technical skills in analysis
Knowledge of QC regulations
Knowledge of EU and FDA regulations
